Having PAL test on maths... after the PAL test, is maths lesson, went through SET THEORY and was told that from now onwards, Thursday lesson is cancel but will give us graded assignment to do and had to hand up to Wilson by Friday before recess. quite happy to hear this announcement. F&N :Learn new topic on digestion, wow really dry, almost going to sleep. English:groups are pointed to do presentation and do almost the same old stuffs...POA: have Partnership test and do some group work too.

Raining heavily in the morning, really makes people feel like sleeping, went for F&N & A maths: go through DIGESTION OF FATS AND CHO and request summarize the whole topic of digestion and remember to buy and bring the stuffs the can decorate the cake on next Wednesday .Other classmate in different class, please update me in the tag board, thank you. Sorry for the late post for the past three days...

Have English paper 1 test. Then processed to Maths class and went through last topic that we had stopped and was given us homework: Ex 1E - Q3, Q4, Q7, Q8, Q9, Q10. After recess, separated class for F&N - received 'O' Level Question paper for coursework A and Choose 1 question out of 2; create a gmail if you haven't yet; Start to do the 1st part of coursework A . While A maths ( someone please kindly update in the tag board, Thank you). Next lesson: English, Do 5 minutes Journey writing on the Morning assembly or 7 habits and other stuffs. After lunch, last period: POA, still go through the same topic and we were told that we will have a surprise test on " Disposal Of Fixed Asset; Partnership & Amalgamation" on any day of POA lesson.

After morning assembly, 511 & 512 required to go AVA to listen to Mdm Shanti's talk about WORK HARD FOR O LEVEL EXAMINATION. Went for Chemistry lesson, Ms Joyce Goh taught us " Percentage Composition, Empirical Formula, Molecular Formula", also given us a few notes and 1 homework on CHEMICAL FORMULA & Molecular Formula ( Ex 2) before the lesson ended, Our HOD science in-charge teacher came to talk with us about 'O' Level science is different from 'N' Level......2nd period: POA, Miss Tan went through Q6 with us and given us Q7 and Q8 of Disposal Of Fixed Asset practice assignment. After recess, In Physics lesson, went through Current of Electricity and given us 2 homework: Ex 16 & Static Electricity Ex to do and pass up in next lesson. In SS lesson, Mdm Choo take over for 1 day cause Mr Wee was absent but given us 1 SBQ paper to do ( A to C ). Next lesson: English, Do 5 minutes Journey writing on anything topic, and went through same error and given back our composition on " Who I Really Am?" to do correction. After lunch, Separate to different class, In Miss Tan's class went through Tropical Rain forest and Monsoon Forest. Last lesson, Maths was cancel but was given us 1 homework on Set Theory.

Whole class was happy cause end school at 12.30pm and 1 good news is that our class don't have any CLB students yet. Separated class for F&N - Went to Library to do Coursework (A) and write 1 reflection on what difficulties you faced when doing this coursework while A maths ( someone please kindly update in the tag board, Thank you). PE lesson, Whole class passed 2.4km and given half an hour to play games. After recess, Separated for MTL, In Mdm Khor's class, went through chapter 1：Love has nothing to do with roses and given us worksheet to do in class and homework that are related to this chapter. And we were asked to do newspaper cutting and reflection on the article ( need to present to whole class which they had chosen)In Miss Hooi's class, do newspaper cutting. As for Malay and Tamils' class ( someone please kindly update in the tag board, Thank you).

What did we do in each class for today.

1) Chemistry
Went through last lesson exercise: Relative Atomic & Molecular Mass[1], then given 2 papers: Mole Concept & Molar Mass [2] & Molar Gas Volume [4]. Receive spot quiz 1 paper back. Leslie can drop Maths and Sci cause he get Distinction for both, so Ms Goh also ask class who want to drop subject...

2) Physics
Thought we have diagnostic test but in the end nothing happen, recall last lesson what we learn: electrostatics induction and also learn new stuff in this chapter today: electrostatics spray painting & electrostatics ---------. We do 1 worksheet and hand up file and TYS.

3)English
Do journey on newspaper article, receive a paper: Error Analysis and some mistake from our classmate's composition so that we can avoid making the same mistake for tomorrow PAL.

4a) Geo In Miss Tan's class
Miss Tan teach us new chapter on Topical Rain forest.

Today we receive 1 yearbook 2009 during the morning assembly. Going to receive our 'O' Level result release at 2pm in the hall!!...

What did we do in each class for today.

1a)Mother Tongue in Mdm Khor's class
Hand up the file,workbook and composition book to Mdm Khor , get back our diagnostic test paper mark and do 1 paper of paper 2.Go to Library to borrow same storybook《听青春在哭泣》for Thursday and Friday morning assembly reading period (Please don't lost it).Bring the materials on Friday if you haven't hand up today.

1b)Mother Tongue in Miss Hooi's class
Get back our diagnostic test paper mark and go through and go to Library to borrow same storybook《听青春在哭泣》for Thursday and Friday morning assembly reading period(Please don't lost it).Bring textbook and workbook, self study for chapter 1 in textbook and complete 作业（一）.

1c)Malay lesson
Today write a composition, go to library to borrow 1 storybook《Gerimis Rindu》for Thursday and Friday morning assembly reading period (Please don't lost it).

1d)Tamil
Do comprehension in workbook and bring workbook and textbook for next lesson.

2) SS
Watch 1 video related to Chapter 2 - Sustaining Economic Development In A Globalizing World. And write a Journey on Question 1 and Question 2 or Question 3 and hand up in next lesson with file and textbook. Here are the three Questions:

1. Why is it important to be a global city?
2. what areas can we improve upon? Pitfalls to avoid?
3. How can you fit in- in the guest to be a global Singapore?

3)POA
We go through the example 2 (Buy 1 Sell 1) , do example 3 ( Buy 2 Sell 1) and told us about the 'O' Level POA result, for 4E- 100% passes, 27% Distinction & 78% National passes while for 5N- 85% passes, 10% Distinction & 77% National passes. And she excepted we 511 can get 100%!! Homework: Read Example 4 ( Buy 2 Sell 1 Buy 1) and do the practice paper on Ledger Paper and bring it on Wednesday.

4)Maths
Do Diagnostic Test.

At 2pm,went to collect our result....And tomorrow we have Physics Diagnostic test 1.

Today we have temperature taking in the Chem Lab, almost everyone is in school. And have an outing event - going to Nanyang Polytechnic.

What did we do in each class for today.
1) Science ( Chemistry)
After temperature taking, Ms Goh give us to see the Telephone Relay System to let us know who going to inform who. As for chem lesson, we do relative Atomic & Molecular Mass exercise, hand up chem WK and TYS.

2) POA
We going through yesterday topic: Disposal of Fixed Assets, do example 1 (Buy 1 Sell 1) and was given a homework to do and that is to do Example 2 (Buy 1 Sell 1) and bring in next lesson.

3) Science ( Physics)
Mr Whey revision one topic: Static Electricity, and give us a worksheet to do in class. So today we learn from this topic is " Like charges repel; Unlike charges attract".A reminder: please bring 1 green file ( with notes) and TYS for next lesson.

4) SS
Our ss teacher is Mr Samuel Wee and he give us to do Diagnostic Test and we are told to bring sec 4/5 ss textbook and blue file for next lesson on Monday.

5) English
Mr Werner ask us to write 200 words of " Who I Really Am?" composition and give us 1 journal homework to write 1 whole page of A5 exercise book without leaving a line, title is "As a final-year pupil,how will I contribute to the school culture this year?" and is to pass up on Monday. Wanying's clean-up duty is postpone to Monday to do with Hidayah Azman.

6a) Geo In Miss Tan's class
Miss Tan teach us 1 topic :planting of vegetation and we were told that on 27/1/2010 ( Wednesday) are tested on chapter 2: Tropical Rain forest, Monsoon forest, Characteristics and Adaptations to Climate. This consider as class test and who ever fail, will go to remedial on every Wednesday.

6b) Geo In Mrs Koh's class
Bring blue file and textbook for next lesson.

7) Maths
Canceled cause Miss Huang is not in school.

We had our first PAL test [MTL] early in the morning today. Hopefully all of us did well .

Early in the morning, the whole school was given an apple, why give us an apple? Mr Gabriel said that when we cut the apple horizontally into half, we can see a STAR in between...and it represented us...Today we started our FIRST lesson for Chemistry while for the rest of the subjects..

It's our first day of school. Was brought into our homeroom by our new form teach Miss Joyce Goh. We got our new time table and was introduced to the new term "PAL" [Pupil Assessment of Learning]. Which is replacing our common test. The test is still conducted but it's 1 subject per week , on every Wednesday 9am-10am.

We had a little circle time with Miss Tan. Glad to announce that our class fair better then the national level for our N level POA.

Maths
We received a sheet of paper : 5 Normal Academic Scheme of Work 2010 . It stated clearly what we will be going through for each term. It's told by Miss Huang that we a suppose to use this sheet of paper as our cover page. We received new set of lesson notes : Chapter 1 Linear Inequalities. We went through Solving inequalities by Addition, Subtraction, Division and Multiplication. We are to complete exercise 1B and 1C by today and submit it by the next lesson.

CME
Some was interviewed by Miss Joyce Goh. Interviews will continue next lesson.
